Current Volunteer Opportunities at Finca Colibrí
Get involved with our Harvest Helpers initiative and assist our Crop Team in gathering fresh produce that might otherwise not be used. This effort is vital in preventing wastage and ensuring that every part of our harvest serves a purpose. At Finca Colibrí, we meticulously select produce that our team may not have the capacity to harvest, including items that don’t meet the commercial ‘first-grade’ criteria but are still nutritious and delicious. Safety While Volunteering
At Finca Colibrí, safety is paramount. Please come prepared for outdoor work with sturdy, closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Sun protection is essential, so don’t forget to bring hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses, along with plenty of water and snacks to maintain your energy. Please drive cautiously on farm roads, maintaining a speed limit of 20 MPH and staying vigilant for farm activity.
For your safety and the safety of others, always yield to oncoming farm vehicles and our working farmers. It’s important to avoid touching the fences as many are electrified to secure the livestock. By adhering to these guidelines, you help ensure a safe environment for everyone at Finca Colibrí, allowing us all to focus on our mission of sustainable agriculture.
